Won Ton Noodles
Won Ton Noodles are a classic Cantonese noodle dish that is both delicious and comforting. This dish combines succulent pork and shrimp wontons with egg noodles in a savory broth, topped with green onions and a variety of other toppings according to personal preference. Perfect for any meal of the day, won ton noodles offer a delightful blend of textures and flavors that are sure to satisfy.
150g shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 package wonton wrappers
500g egg noodles
4 cups chicken broth
2 green onions, chopped

Mix ground pork, shrimp, sesame oil, soy sauce, and white pepper in a bowl.
Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper, fold to form a triangle, and press edges to seal. Optional: bring the two opposite corners together and press to seal.
Boil the wontons in water until they float to the top, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and divide into bowls.
Bring the chicken broth to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste with soy sauce and white pepper.
Assemble the bowls by placing a handful of cooked wontons and bok choy (if using) over the noodles. Pour hot broth over the noodles, ensuring the wontons are submerged.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot. Optionally, add a drizzle of oyster sauce for extra flavor.
